KIMONORAIN

Born in Arezzo in 2017 from the creative experience of Elisa Soldini and Lucia Padrini, Kimonorain focuses its research on the reinterpretation of a single garment: the raincoat.

The inspiration comes from Japan, from the essential geometries of the kimono and from a conception of dress in which volumes, solids and voids define the relationship between body and space.

Technical fabrics, lightness, reversibility and ample constructions thus transform a traditionally functional garment into a contemporary piece, capable of eluding the usual gender distinctions and conventions of rainwear.

Entirely designed and made in Italy, Kimonorain combines formal research and everyday practicality, maintaining its stylistic identity recognizable throughout its various collections.
