ALEKSANDR MANAMIS
Founded by its eponymous Danish designer in 2007, Aleksandr Manamïs is a small label based in Copenhagen.
Blending traditional tailoring, vintage clothing and contemporary experimentation, its collections are distinguished by fabrics with a timeworn character and prints that seem to emerge from antique illustrated books on botany and wildlife, or from the tapestries adorning the grand rooms of noble residences.
The research draws inspiration from traditional Nordic homes, with their wooden floors and soft, muted light, a sensibility reflected in the understated colour palette of the fabrics used, from velvet, linen, cotton and silk to cashmere and wool.
The result is an artisanal, handcrafted production: unique, impossible to replicate, and timeless.
